What is the Common App? And should you use it?

The Common Application, commonly known as the Common App, is a non-profit organization that provides an online platform for students to apply to multiple colleges and universities using a single application. This platform streamlines the college application process by allowing students to complete one application and send it to multiple schools at once.

The Common App includes several components, such as personal and academic information, extracurricular activities, essays, and letters of recommendation. Students can use the Common App to apply to over 900 member colleges and universities in the United States and around the world.

Using the Common App can save time and simplify the college application process for students. Additionally, many colleges and universities require or accept the Common App, making it a popular choice for students applying to multiple schools.
