Do not force four years of work into ten boxes too early.
Begin with a longer master inventory: clubs, employment, research, athletics, family responsibilities, independent projects, hobbies, religious involvement and community work. Then determine what deserves space and in what order.

The final order should reflect importance, contribution, distinction and the application’s larger story—not simply chronology.
Connect the accomplishments before writing the application.
A student should be more than disconnected achievements. Identify the interests, problems, communities, changes and contributions that recur across the file. Choose up to three themes and add the student’s own language.
Choose the right story before choosing the prompt.
A strong essay is not merely polished. It reveals something important that the rest of the application cannot communicate as effectively—and it still sounds unmistakably like the student.
Run the story test
Turn on each statement only when it is genuinely true.
Develop the scene, insight, structure and reflection without losing the student.
Adult polish and AI can remove the qualities that make the writing credible and human.
You do not need a finished application. You need a trustworthy plan.
Move through the opening days in order. Each day has a different job: verify, organize and then make the strategic choices that guide the writing.
